Positioning an item inside the loop

Having trouble positioning an item within the loop.

Ive added a facebook like button to all my posts using single.php, but am only able to position it above the post, while i want it to appear below.
Yet any other place i put it within the loop moves it all the way down to the footer.

Where should this be going?
