positioning entries

I have a question for you guys,

I am working on a site for a friend of mine and we are trying to figure out how to put the entries in a specific part of the site and DIV position relative doesn’t seem to work because the dilemma is when the browser is resized to the left, the div layer (where the entries are) is moving causing it to overlap on the content on the left. Is there anyway to position the entries properly within the table so that way there is no resizing issue?

This is pissing me off and I know there is a way to do it but this is the only time I have had an issue with this. Please help!
