for some unknown reason, QC just started to cause a total failure where no content at all is served – there is no page content, no source code… nothing… and nothing in any error log that i have access to (shared server)

even when logged into the WP back-end, the front-end is still completely AWOL

if i disable QC, all is fine

i didn’t yet try dumping the cache in case the files may be useful for troubleshooting

@atomizer There are a lot of things that might cause this failure, but it’s more likely due to your server configuration or something else your web host might be doing on the server. You’re safe to clear the cache, as the cache files won’t hold any valuable info for debugging a problem like this.

Can you tell me what web host you’re using? Do you know if they do any server-side caching of their own that might interfere with Quick Cache?

You may want to contact your web host to see if they can offer any insight here.

    hi Raam

my host advertises that they use varnish, but i just opened a ticket to confirm

do you feel it’s best not do WP caching if the host is caching MySql?

@atomizer If your host is using Varnish and there’s a way for you to disable it for your site, then I would recommend disabling it and only using Quick Cache, as it’s geared toward caching WordPress specifically.

While there shouldn’t be any problem running Varnish with Quick Cache, I recommend only using one or the other.
