    Hello.

I figured out that when you are doing mass updates (many articles) there is not only the table with the user groups but also an area with three options Add – Remove – Overwrite.
This area does not appear when editing a single article….

However, i’ve seen when you choose overwrite, the list of selected articles shows the new access rights, but when leaving the page and coming back….uuhhh….every article has full access.

I wanted to use overwrite on some articles which have 2 groups associated and they are no longer valid, but should have a new group instead.
To be sure, i didn’t choose remove but overwrite believing in the fact that all the permissions will be overwritten exactly with the new setting (only new group checked, old groups unchecked).

When adding (instead of overwrite) everything is ol.
But this is under some circumstances not logical.
But hey, IT is not logical at all……

That’s normal, because it makes no sense to overwrite or add some thing, because you are editing it directly.

However, i’ve seen when you choose overwrite, the list of selected articles shows the new access rights, but when leaving the page and coming back….uuhhh….every article has full access.

Tested it, but I can’t reproduce any issue on my test environment. Could you test it for a small amount of posts/pages and look if it works. Maybe it’s a problem for many posts/pages.

Gosh…where is my second post???? Hm….
    Again.

The problem only occurs when mass updating movies from this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wpmovielibrary/

It works fine on normal posts.

I also informed the author of the other plugin because i’m not sure from “where” this comes.

Fairly enough, i found another plugin like yours, not so comfortable like yours, but doing the same, and guess what? With this plugin a massupdate is possible and all movies keep the new setting.
And, sorry to say this, it also has shortcodes implemented (for showing content depending on the group) what i posted as an idea for your plugin some days ago.
