    Hello!

I’m in process of upgrading my website (www.portugal-campings.com) and I’m still searching the right plugin to use as map, done my reseach and liked this one, I’ve read good things about it.
With that in mind, and before I decide on what road to take, I’d appreciate if you could shine a light on a few doubts:
    1. Is it possible to add a search results sidebar? Let me explain what I mean. I’ll have a map with lots of markers and what I need is to display the content of a marker popup in a sidebar when users click on it. The page would be divided to display the map and the sidebar. This would be for all the markers. When a user clicks on a marker, it displays the content of the popup in the sidebar, and then changes the content upon clicking on other markers. This would only display one marker content at a time.
    2. I would use the OpenStreetMap (easier option for me) and, in the future if I decide to change the map, I’d like to know if it’s possible to export the markers and layer maps in such a way that would be compatible with another map, like Google Map or another?
    3. Is it possible to use Maps Marker Pro in another theme and use the sidebar feature already present in that theme in a way that it works?

I’d appreciate your answer, so I can choose what road to take.

Thank you so much for your time

    Best regards,

    Victor

  • Hi Victor,

thanks for your interest in our plugin!

ad 1) our plugin allows to add a so-called list of markers below the map which shows the popuptext of markers too. With the next pro version, this list of markers can also be moved to the right or left of the map. In addition, the pro plugin also offers a flexible widget, which allows you to display the latest markers including popuptext.
If you want to trigger the display of the pouptext outside of the plugins areas, you need to do some coding though. The pro version offers a Javascript Events API for LeafletJS which can be utilized by developers to attach events handlers to markers and layers. For more details see https://www.mapsmarker.com/mapsmarker-apis

ad 2) our plugin is based on the leaflet.js framework, which allows you to dynamically switch between different tile providers. The points of interest respectively the so-called markers are stored apart from the tiles in your database so it is always possible to switch the underlying tile service provider.

ad 3) using our plugin in another theme is possible and shouldnt be an issue.

I hope this did answer all your questions.
    best,

    Robert
