I hope that I am mistaken, but the statement from the plugin’s documentation, under Content Permissions does not seem to be true when using the members_access role= shortcode.

“The post author… can always view the post, regardless of their role.”

The content does not show for the content’s author, but does show for the administrator role. I would really like to be able to restrict the content to administrators and editors and the post author, even when the post author has the subscriber user role.

Should this be working? Is this possible? Any help will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi @burtons

The post author can always view the content of their posts.

I just tested Content Permissions and created a post as a user with Author role. After that, I changed the user role to Subscriber and that user could still see the content of their post even though Content Permissions allow to access this post for Administrators only.
