Hello, I was testing ThreeWP Broadcast successfully on a development site but am running into issues trying to implement this on a live multisite.

I enabled all the available post types by copying from the provided list and putting each one is on its own line without commas.

I edit a page or any custom post, check “Link this post to its children”, “Custom fields”, “Taxonomies” and “Broadcast to” the only other site in the multisite. I then update the page or post but when the screen reloads, the settings are not saved. The page/post is successfully broadcast to the designated site but changes are not synced between sites and the Broadcast settings have reverted to unchecked. “Link this post to its children” is unchecked as is the “Broadcast to” checkbox.

I’m not seeing any differences in settings between my dev site and this live site so I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’ve deactivated plugins and am using the Twenty Fifteen theme. The pastie below contains my debug info (site domains and site names edited). I’m happy to grant the developer access to the site if we can communicate privately. Any help is appreciated.

I’m currently running the maintenance > broadcast data check on both the parent and child sites and I see “The Broadcast Data table is missing the ID column” repeated down the page. Is this the cause of our issue and what should be done to correct this? Thanks again.

I should have also mentioned I see the following error when I use the “Broadcast data” and “View broadcast data” maintenance:
“Warning: file_put_contents(/tmp//broadcast_maintenance_for_user_1.tmp): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/mu.domain.com/wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast/src/maintenance/data.php on line 77”.

I have this website installed as a subdomain of an existing Subscription in Plesk if that makes any difference. I verified that the data.php file path is correct. I even tried setting the permissions to 774 and then 777 temporarily but the error persists.

I also see the following error on the main Maintenance screen: “Warning: unlink(/tmp//broadcast_maintenance_for_user_1.tmp): Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/mu.domain.com/wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast/src/maintenance/data.php on line 65”

Update: It looks like completely uninstalling the plugin via the plugin admin uninstall option worked. The Broadcast Data maintenance tool would never complete for some reason so I never got it to provide a solution to the issue. I’m happy to allow the developer access to the site build if that would help but I’m considering this solved unless this crops back up. Will wait a couple days to mark the thread resolved to be sure.

The maintenance tool could not write its data to the temp directory, therefore not being able to complete.

I’m out of office right now and will be back on the 3rd of April, after which I can see how to properly get the temp directory, if possible.

Ciao, after updating to ver 18 I have the same problem as Inhouse (see above)what can I do?

Which error? The broadcast data table missing the ID column?

I edit a page or any custom post, check “Link this post to its children”, “Custom fields”, “Taxonomies” and “Broadcast to” ONE OF THE OTHER sites in the multisite.
I then update the page or post but when the screen reloads, the settings are not saved. The page/post is NOT broadcasted to the designated site.

I’m happy to allow the developer access to the site build if that would help.

I just speak little english and I do not know how to make a debug.

Everythink RESOLVED. I learned how to make debug and find out it was a problem with the Roles in Admin Settings. Now you need to ckeck all roles even you are administrator.

    Thks again

Well, debug mode saves the day again!

Were you administrator or super admin?

    Marking as resolved.

    I’m super admin
