    Hello there,

First, I want to thank you for making such a useful and light plugin.

My question is, we currently have the option “Advanced Post Caching” enabled, we have a large Woocomerce store and were wondering if enabling the option “Post Caching Any Post Type” would be helpful.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you for using Docket Cache and compliments.

Basically, “Advanced Post Cache” will do caching on WP Queries that query for Post Ids.

By default, it only applies to post, page and attachment Post Types. Enabling “Post Caching Any Post Type” will allow caching on all Post Types including Custom Post Types.

Technically, it is useful for improving DB query performance. Since Docket Cache is a file-based caching, performance is very subjective, especially for large woocommerce stores. The cache file might become too large for Docket Cache to handle if enabling “Post Caching Any Post Type”.

My suggestion is, to disable all the options in the “CACHE OPTIONS” section or you might want to try the dev version below, which has some fixes and improvements on cache handling.

    Thanks.

    Hello there,

We recently had alot of Timeout whenever we try to update or launch a new post/product/category. I had all the options on “CACHE OPTIONS” turned off as requested, and suddenly everything was working fine, and then it came back. We had to deactivate the whole plugin altogether. Also, I noticed that the version you uploaded is 5.4, the same as the one we are already using.

    Please advise.

    Hi,

Please verify the version of Docket Cache you are using is the same as the version I advise you to try.

    1. Go to the plugin page and find the installed Docket Cache. The version should be 22.07.03-rc6.
    2. If not, download https://docketcache.com/devtest/docket-cache-220703-rc6.zip and replace it again by uploading it manually.
    3. If yes, click the “Disable Object Cache” button on Docket Cache Overview Page. And then click “Flush Object Cache”.
    4. If successful, enable back object cache by clicking “Enable Object Cache”.

Please try and reply with the results. Other than that, it’s just that Docket Cache can’t handle your website setup.

If you need further assistance, please email me using the form here https://docketcache.com/contactus/ — It may involve giving me access to your server, and depends on my time availability.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Please enable “Check file limits in real-time” and “Auto Remove Stale Cache”, which by default has been disabled.

    Thanks.

    Hello Nawawi,

Thank you for your response. As requested, I have activated the “Check file limits in real-time” and “Auto Remove Stale Cache” options. Are these options going to help in any way?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

It can control cache files from becoming too large, it may help indirectly. If the result is still the same, that’s all it can do. You should consider using Redis, it will save you time.

    Thanks.
