    Hi- the post carousel is great but I’m struggling with filtering on taxonomy.

    I have several different pages – one for places, one for people etc – and I want to use the carousels to bring only relevant posts back. So on the “Places” page I only want to return posts marked with taxonomy “Places” but also then allow readers to filter the content by “UK”, “USA” etc. On the “People” page I want only to include only “People” but again allow readers to filter content by “UK”, “USA” etc. Unfortunately, it appears that default filtering is an “and” instruction – so right now because I’ve included “UK” and “USA” as taxonomy filters, both carousels bring back everything that contain any of the filters.

    Does anyone know if there a way i can create create an over-riding filter (ie. must be “places”) and then have a second level of filters for countries.

    I am not exactly clear on your query. First, unlike Posts Grid, we don’t have filter option for Posts Carousel and I hope you are referring to choices that you make on the backend (not the users on frontend) to display posts of a certain category/taxonomy term. Second, the default filtering is an OR filter and not AND since a post belonging to either USA or UK is rendered when you choose these terms in the query window. I am sure OR is what you want since there is no way something can be both UK and USA.

    Can you pls clarify the above points before I suggest a solution? Thanks

    Sorry my fault – it is the Post Grid and yes, it is currently OR (no idea why I wrote AND). What I’m trying to do is have a headline filter such as “Places” (so that only posts with the term Places are included in that particular grid) then under that have OR filtering options relating to countries.

    We do not have the option of nested filters at present for our widget. However, you can try to choose the countries/place in the taxonomy option in the query window and only those countries/places should show up as filters. If you add a new country/place as a tag/category, you need to add the same in the query window.
