Post Carousel problem

I’m redeveloping my website and am testing Elementor with the Livemesh plugins. When I add the posts carousel and select the option to “Display posts title below the post item?” a white box appears under the image thumbnail, but there is no text in it – the title appears when the mouse hovers over the image regardless.
The options for showing the post excerpt and meta information DO work as expected though.
Any ideas?
