Every post have a date (and time) when it was published. Typically my logged in users write a post some day later when the event (post) has taken place. In order to set the right date it would be great if there is a date field in the frontend form which sets (edit) the date of the post.

Yeah I think so. It sounds like if I added a hidden field containing the current date, it would do the job? If so, the date would be submitted along with the post, and it would get attached to as a custom field. So from there, your theme could grab it and display however is needed.

I should have been more clear. Currently the plugin cannot do what you are asking. But I was thinking about adding a hidden field for the next plugin update. It would then be like the pro version, where the current post date is attached to each submitted post as a custom field.

Hi Michael, the added field is hidden, so it will not be displayed on the form itself. What it does, is attach the date/time as a custom field to each submitted post, as explained in previous comments on this support thread.
