• I have been running into posting issues for a couple weeks now.

My host GoDaddy told me that it was “caused by the WordPress setting stating what your homepage and blog posts pages are.” Additionally, they add that they “do not have an expert service that can correct this.”

Taking that into consideration, I went into the settings of WordPress and double checked that was all set – which it wasn’t. So I set the home page and blog post page as it says that’s what the issue was.

Here’s the thing – I got rid of the error message that I was encountering, but now I’ve ran into some new issues.

With all the plug-ins turned off, I go into “add new post” and the page just comes up blank

With the “classic editor” plug-in turned on (suggested per Googling some troubleshooting), the pages comes up but it won’t let me post. Instead of having the “add post” button, it has a “submit for review” button. So I typed in some dummy words to see if I could even do that, and clicked the button and it goes, “Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this post.”

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • How long has that site been on ‘Openresty’?

The whole site seems to be broken and I don’t know anything about that server. I thought it was hacked when I first saw that ‘mess’.

Sitecheck finally just gave up on it BTW.

If it was me, I’d probably kill my plugins and revert my theme back to a generic ‘twenty’ series theme to see if I could get it running but I’m not really interested in trying to run WordPress on an Nginx based server either.

My thinking is Nginx is fine for a proxy server but give me Apache first.

I may try an Openresty box just to play with it later this year but for now… Nah!

The website is hosted by GoDaddy and the theme that we are using is Braxton. As far as the other stuff that you are discussing, I really don’t know what you’re talking about.

I just switched that off with the “Twenty-Theme” turned on instead to see if that would help the issue as you suggested. Unfortunately, I ran into the same errors that I am encountering with the Braxton theme turned on.
