Post excerpt

    I’m having occasional problems with the shortcode “post_excerpt” together with New post published.

    All other shortcodes works flawlessly, but 9 out of 10 times, post_excerpt returns empty, but occasionally it works fine.

    I use WP Rocket for caching and I tried to disable it, but same result.

    Any idea what could be wrong?

    Hi @resrutt,
    Thanks for your message.

    WP Rocket has been known to cause issues but they fixed it a few years ago and I haven’t had any reports of an issue since.

    Is it just the New Post Published notifications that have issues?
    Does the post_excerpt shortcode always work on Post Updated notifications?
