Post format setting doesn’t work

Hello, the Default Post Format setting doesn’t seem to be working. It always publishes posts as “standard”. I have set it to “image” in the settings and even tried from the email subject line (image//subject line) and still it doesn’t work.

I even tried setting the default post format at WP settings level, but it is always overridden by Postie to “standard”.

Any support to fix this would be much appreciated.
