I was able to click on the link and go to the post without issue.
It’s plain text for me. I tried Chrome and IE, same result. I tried it on my phone and I can see the link
Sorry — misread your initial post. I was able to click on the post title and get to the post. The “Funeral Arrangements” link on the post itself works just fine.
What you’re seeing on the homepage is possibly an automatic excerpt that’s stripping the link.
Is that because I am the author? Will my visitors get the link?
Happens regardless of the whether there is a user logged in or not.
Go to the funeral post, write a short excerpt and include the link as well. The manual excerpt will contain the proper link and you should appear as you want it on your site.
I’m confused, so write a comment in the post or edit my original post?
You have the ability to add excerpts to your posts. That textarea field may currently be hidden on your Post Admin screen. Look in Screen Options on your Post Admin screen and turn it on if it is currently hidden.
Add the excerpt.
The alternative is to go into Appearance > Customize and click on the ShootingStar Post Entries Settings and change the Content/Excerpt Displaying from Excerpt to Content.
