    Hi,

I’m trying to set up a sidebar for the posts page (the index). I’ve created the sidebar and follow the instructions but I can’t find the ‘As Primary Sidebar checkbox’ Any thought’s as to why it’s not available?

    The page is empty.

The theme is Accesspress Basic, however custom sidebars are working in individual pages.

you can see options available in menu here:

    Any thoughts?

    Regards
    Andrew

  • Hello Andrew,

You have to check one of those position on the list, like “As Right Sidebar for selected Archive Types” and then you will have select for adding “Post Index”
    Please see here:

    kind regards,

Thanks for getting back to me, I did try that before but no change to the page. It’s working on individual pages fine.

The documentation still says Primary Sidebar in the page.

Any thoughts, looking at the page source I see:

    <main id=”main” class=”site-main no-sidebar-wide blog-image-large” role=”main”>
    <div class=”ap-container”>…

I guess ‘no-sidebar-wide’ is in the template for the theme somewhere?

    Any thoughts?

    Regards,

    Andrew
