• s2member framework Version 141007

According to my requirements, I need to protect ALL my posts but some of them should remain readable by visitors. I have the choice to protect posts by category/tag but it is too complicated according to the number of categories/tags used. So I must tell s2member to protect ALL posts with level #0 (I don’t need other levels).

Then, in the post screen, in the box “Post Level Restriction?” all posts are locked with “level #0 (already protects “all” posts)”. This is great, but I need to unlock some (few) posts to let them readable by visitors.

    How may I do ?
Does an “exception visitors access” could exist in the “post level restrictions” box ?
Or does a s2member shortcode inserted in the post could unlock it ?

    Thanks

Sorry, but those two statements are incompatible. If you need to keep some posts readable by visitors, then by definition you don’t want to protect all posts.

So you need to get rid of the all-posts protection, and instead work out how to protect just what needs protecting.

    It’s what I fear.

Is it possible to plan a near future short development to provide this feature like a checkbox or a shortcode to say this post/page should not respect global policy to be readable by visitors ?

Exactly like any basic security feature as firewalls with “deny all” followed by “authorize this” ?

This should add a simple but powerfull feature to s2member.
