You could use a feature image for each post and use the flag that you want for each post.

I would just display the titles with the links to the full article and no content. It really depends what theme you are using and how comfortable you are with editing the php.

You need to look at the index.php or loop.php depending on your theme. Please provide a link to your site and tell us exactly what page you want these to appear on.
