    Hi,

I’ve done some research on the forums, and this seems to be a common enough problem without a clear solution.

Recently I’ve noticed the hyperlink in the body of my new post, the tags below my post, and the “You also might like..” link below the tags are all inactive and dead.

All on other linking on the pages works, in the sidebar, on the menu, in the footer.

Also, when I preview the post prior to publishing all the links work fine, it is only after publishing when the links go inactive.

Does anyone have a solution beyond the rote ‘uninstall plug-ins one by one and then change to 2012 theme’?

here is a link the a post where the links are broken:

    Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thank for the quick reply.

I taken all steps you’ve lists.

    – deactivated all plug-ins. This did NOT resolve the problem

    – switched to ‘2014’ WP theme. My theme is still up although I’ve switched it to ‘2014’ in the theme menu. In the preview of the 2014 theme the links were working, but it still hasn’t ‘activated’ on my homepage’.

-reset the plugins folder thru PhpMyAdmin, (although when went to do this after deactivating the plugins, the value was already set to a:0:{})

What do you think this all means? A theme issue?

    Thanks,

It does sound like you have a dodgy theme. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

Also, the links work in the preview for my original theme as well.

Not sure why the links are working in the previews of posts and themes but not when activated or published.

    Ideas?

I’m sorry but as you are a commercial theme, you need to seek further thene support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial products here.

    Great thanks.

Are we sure that is could not be anything else? That the theme is the most likely culprit?
