    Hi,

Been using the plugin for a long time on many of our sites. Recently, I have noticed that when you edit a post type and change the Post Settings Meta Box from false to true and then refresh the page the setting ‘true’ doesn’t stick and it goes back to ‘false’. I am not able to change it to ‘true’, just wants to revert back to ‘false’ when I reload the page.

I have tried debugging – looking at the log errors (none), and also deactivating all plugins to test if it was conflicting with one of them.

Do you know if this is a plugin issue or maybe its a theme issue as this settings is a Total Theme setting inside your plugin settings. Thanks!

    Hi @rossmiester

This is in regards to clicking the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of Block editor screen, and then Panels > Additional, correct?

Have you made sure to have your post type include custom fields support? I noticed when I tried enabling that one a post type the didn’t have “Custom fields” supported, it went away again, but once I added the support, the setting stuck and showed the name/value box pairing that we’re so familiar with.

Wish I could share an image but its under Add/Edit Post Type under the settings box with all the different settings. I am just trying to change that field to true but it will keep going back to false when I reload the page.

    These aren’t saving? https://cloudup.com/chZorv-Uh5X

Is it just custom fields or is it all of them?

So I think its nothing maybe you can see bc you would have to have the Total Theme active. The fields become available in that same section you are showing but below it.

So, essentially below that setting container where it shows the supports I get another container with Total Theme settings. Inside that container is where nothing will save. I am assuming this is a Total Theme issue but thought I’d ask since its showing within your plugin options.

Interesting. I don’t think it happens constantly, but every now and then I have seen other products integrating with CPTUI.

Sounds like this may be an example of that.

If you want to email a screenshot of the area you’re seeing, you can send it as an attachment to [email protected] and I’ll be able to access it that way.

If anything, I could confirm if it’s something that’s a part of our core plugin, or something added.

I’m wondering if they maybe need to update their code after our 1.10.x release, which had a lot of under the hood juggling of code.

Perfect – sending screenshot over now. Do you have older version downloads of your plugin that I could use to debug to test your theory?

I’ll try this out in the meantime. Thanks for all your help so far. Appreciate it!

I just tried v1.9 and it now works. I am able to save and it stays to whatever I set it to. So, like you said I guess it would be a Total Theme issue. I’ve reached out to them too so hopefully they can resolve that. For now, i’ll just use the old version until then. Thanks for all your help and super speedy response time. Amazing job! Thank you!
