Post to Custom Post Type ONLY

Hi there,

Is there a way to post to a custom post type ONLY and not to any other post types including the default wordpress post type.

The custom post type in question doesn’t have a category and is completely blank in the wp_term_relationships table so I can’t simply select it as the only category to post to.

The trouble is when I deselect all categories and only include my own custom post type from Settings->Include/Exclude WordPress Pages and Custom Post Types it doesn’t post to the custom post type at all.

In addition, if I select one obscure category for normal posts that no-one would ever use, it stops it posting to my custom post type completely.
