%post_title_list_short% Doesn’t work outputs full headers all the same

And I had to tweak my css styles to add 
.seriesbox{
    Z-INDEX: 999999;
    position: relative;}
 
because the block with the list of articles from the series fell under <blockquote> and the links did not work
