Postie is configured and running on my site. As expected, it correctly publishes posts like it should to my website, via my email address. However, the Publicize settings configured on Jetpack that push my new posts to my connected social media sites is not working. Typically, a new post made from the site has these networks selected. For some reason, a post made via my email/postie is disabling/unchecking these settings.

Is there an option to enable this feature, or a better way to manage publishing new posts via email, that once published are auto-shared to my social networks like normal posts do?

Thank you! And thank you for this plugin.

Unfortunately many plugins like JetPack assume that you are using the WordPress editor when creating posts which means that their special logic for features like auto-sharing doesn’t run when Postie creates a post.

Typically the fix for this is to research what the plugin is actually doing and create a Postie AddOn which provides the glue.

This is something I might be able to do for you if you don’t have access to a programmer. Please contact me at [email protected]
