postie mail pick up

    hi,
    postie doesn´t pick up emails if no one is logged in.
    all updates are done, problem exists since over a year.
    If someone logs in, all emails get postet.
    what can i do?

    the issue occurs, when the site is private site.
    nothing can be seen without log in.

    When you say the site is private, what specifically do you mean by that?

    Private means that content is visible after after log in only. Realized with plugins like ‘my private site’ or ‘members’ after setting the ‘privat’ checkbox to ‘yes’

    What happens if you go to <yousite>/wp-cron.php when you are not logged in?

    The Browser Shows a White screen and postie picks up Mails and Post them.

    Sounds like WordPress cron isn’t working for some reason. I’d suggest using an external cron. See http://postieplugin.com/forcing-an-email-check/
