I have specified a number of authorised email addresses for posting, and set ‘Allow anyone to post via email’ to ‘No’, but Postie is processing all emails received in the mailbox and the ones which are from non-authorised email addresses result in the creation of draft posts.

Is this the correct behaviour? I expected emails sent from non-authorised email addresses to be ignored.

In addition, I have asked for a post confirmation email to be sent to the administrators but nothing has been received (I’ve checked the spam folder).

    Thank you.

This is the correct, but new, behavior. On the roadmap is the ability to select the behavior when unauthorized emails are received.

Postie uses the WordPress built in email sending function for notifications. Do you receive other emails from the site?

Wayne, thanks so much for your prompt reply.

The website was recently moved to a different web host which clearly didn’t have the same email functionality, and Postie was updated in the process, hence my surprise at seeing the draft posts.

As a quick fix to resolve the email problem, I installed a plugin to allow the emails to be sent from my own email address. All is now working as it should.

Thanks again, I’ll buy you a beer!
