• My host moved to another server, and since then I can’t post.

Or rather: I can post, but only the post title gets posted. The content simply vanishes into thin air when I hit either save or publish and never gets written to the database. If I edit the database manually through PHP MyAdmin my WP reads the content nicely.

I’ve tried to uninstall everything, drop all tables from the database and then reinstall WP – the clean install is fine, I can post and comment on it, but as soon as I import the backed up database back into the SQL server, things go haywire.

I can edit the timestamp, edit categories, ping access etc. But I can not post content, and comments won’t get posted either. Aaaaaarrrghh!

Help would very much be appreciated … I’d rather not chuck 2,5 years of blogging out of the window 🙁

Still no idea as to what happened – but upgraded to 2.3 RC1, dropped the wp_comments and wp_posts tables in the new database and imported those 2 tables from the old.

Works like a charm, although I still have to figure out how to import the categories and blogroll into the new database structure.
