Posting from Android?

    I need to be able to upload images and create very simple posts from Android.

    The dashboard is highly janky on Firefox for Android, which is the only browser I use on Android. For example, there doesn’t appear to be a way to rename a media file; if I paste text at the end of a block, it creates a new block, and unlike on the desktop site pressing backspace doesn’t combine the blocks; I can’t select text inside blocks without selecting the whole block, and then unselecting the parts I don’t want selected; pressing the link button flashes the link interface, but doesn’t actually let me create a link; etc.

    Not sure if the “WordPress – Website Builder” is for WP.org, or WP.com, but I am hesitant to try given reviews like “countless bugs and glitches.” Never mind about this app; it appears to be just for WP.com.

    Any suggestions?

    There is official WordPress Android App

    You will need to
    1) Have an account on WordPress.COM
    2) Install Jetpack on your site https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/jetpack/

    Thanks. I was asking about ww.wp.xz.cn not WordPress.com.

    The immediate answer was to ditch Firefox for Opera, which works well for this. (I am a longtime Firefox user so was reluctant to do this, but at first blush the change seems to have resolved many of my other frustrations with Firefox as well. We will see whether it sticks.)

    I may look into post-via-email later, but Opera will do the trick for now.

    Jetpack is a plugin which provides WordPress.com fearures to self hosted ( org ) sites.

    Its needed in order to make WordPress app work
