    I am new to wordpress,
    why when I post are my post showing up on the same page?
    I have my posts per page set at 1.
    can some one help,

    If you are using static posts, those will be displayed before your one post.

    Change to the WordPress Default theme and if still a problem, might disable plugins just in case one of those is causing the problem.
