post.php is always slow as hell

    I don’t what it is but everytime when I open post.php it’s loading slow as hell. It has nothing to do with my internet connection (8/1 mbit) and I guess the latest Firefox isn’t also the problem.

    What can I do to speed up the loading of the post.php page?
    It’s really annoying if you want to post something on the fly.

    admin -> Write
    On the right of the post screen, expand the “discussion” box. Uncheck “allow pings”.
    This slows you way down.
