Absolutely, just choose “category” under the “Taxonomy” dropdown and your categories will appear below.

In one of my sites I couldn’t see categories.
I check in other site with a different theme and it’s OK.
May be some themes are not compatible.
Anyway it’s a great plugin.
I understood if I don’t choose any category the plugin will take posts from all.
How about to load posts from 2-4 categories – Is it possible?

If the taxonomies aren’t showing up, you most likely have a javascript error being caused by one of your other plugins.
Currently only 1 category is select-able, but I’m working on making it so multiple ones can be chosen.
