Do you mean the update 1.4.4.2 ?
Apparently there is an issue on a small number of servers which encounter this issue on last update. Can you details you server type? e.g. linux version, php version, apache/nginex etc

Also can you go to Settings > Permalinks and save once? Do you see a notice message on top of page? something like the plugin couldn’t write to your .htaccess file?
1.4.4, 1.4.4.1, 1.4.4.2 = not ok
1.4.3 = ok

Same problem when all the plugin are disabled or when permalinks are saved again. Notice message only when permalinks aren’t customized. Your plugin write well on the .htaccess file.
