    Is “news” a child page of “about” within your WordPress?

    Yes, correct. News is a child page to About and News has been selected as the blog page under Settings->Reading

    Hi,

    Are you selecting any type of ‘template’ for the News page? if so or if default can you show us the code of it.

    Not possible to select a template for the News page when it’s assigned as the “Post page”.

    Thanks for your willingness to help. Any other ideas?
