posts under admin author not editable

I had uploaded some posts that are under the admin authorship when I first started. I have since changed the authorship to my name. Regardless, the admin posts cannot be changed. The box to the left is not there and the only thing I can do is “view”. I want some of them to GO AWAY but am having no success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
