Posts with duplicate meta descriptions

    I am having issues with Duplicate meta description with pages on my wordpress site. When I create a new blog, the system creates duplicate links in webmaster tool. So for example, I create a new blog called new techniques, webmaster tools displays the following links

    domain.com/new-techniques/
    domain.com/new-techniques/201310/

    Both the links go to the same page. Any clue why it is happening? Let me know if you need to view the actual links of the website! Thanks in advance
