Posts won't display

I downloaded the Posts in Page plugin recently. I am trying to insert certain categories of posts into various pages around the site, as it says I can do. However, it only works half the time. For example, if I set it to display all posts in the “Video” or “volleyball” category, it will work. However, if I try to insert the posts in the “football” or “basketball” category it won’t display anything. What do I need to do?
