I have a fairly complicated login using an auto-generated password as the login name, and also an auto-generated password.

I would think fairly hard to guess, however, today when checking the security logins, there is an attempt to login using the auto-generated login name.

Any ideas on how this could happen?

    Thanks,

Hi, please check the following documentation.

Let me know if the above helps you.

Thanks, this feature has been enabled since installing WP-Security which was a long time ago.

Any other recommendations? I find it odd that a very complicated username can be found and someone is trying to get into our account with it. The password is also complicated but I think they will keep trying.

Hi, have you also enabled any of the brute force features like Rename Login Page?

No, but I will do that now.

Updated the brute force Rename Login Page.

    Hopefully that fixes it.

    Thanks
