We have a couple of problems with the PowerPress “Download” links, for example on the given page URL.

The first problem is that the Download link links to the plain file and it’s automatically played in a browser (Chrome), not downloaded. Not sure if this is even fixable.

Another problem which should be fixable is that the Download link references the MP3 file through HTTP instead of HTTPS, which prevents Chrome from downloading it when I right-click and do “Save Link As…” because of their forced “mixed content” policy. How can switch this to HTTPS?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi ivoras,

The download linking opening a media player instead of downloading the file is normal behavior in most modern browsers.

You can try this to get the Blubrry stats redirect URL using https instead of just http:
1.) Log in to your WordPress site
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings; click the Blubrry Hosting Settings link on the left
3.) In the Blubrry Services popup window, click Unlink Account; click OK in the dialog pop that comes up; close the Blubrry Services window
4.) Refresh your browser; click the Let’s Connect button on the left
5.) If prompted, log in to your Blubrry account; click the Authorize button and finish the process of re-linking the site

That should update the Blubrry stats redirect URL setting to be https.
