PPWP and Elementor: Strange behavior – doesn’t really work

    Trying without any luck to use a simple PPWP Elementor section. For my protected content, if I enter plain old text, no HTML in the Code window, the protected content is not displayed until the correct password is entered. Sometimes – see below.

    If I enter ANY HTML in the Code window, the Protected Content is displayed without any password being asked for. I only need to enter a couple of links – the HTML is just simple stuff, but apparently it kills the protection functionality. In addition, as a test, I inserted a small image file from the library. I got this message: “[ppwp] Empty content, invalid attributes or valuesEmpty content, invalid attributes or values”

    Once I begin editing this section, PPWP doesn’t work at all anymore – no protection even for just plain text without HTML tags.

    So, something is really broken here. Latest version of Elementor, WP, PPWP. No caching plugs.

    Anyone?

    Could you please provide the shortcode you’re using, the sample protected page, and the test password so we can take a closer look?

    If you received the message:
    “[ppwp] Empty content, invalid attributes or values”,
    this typically means that one or more required attributes are missing from the shortcode.

    Additionally, if the error is no longer showing but the password form still doesn’t appear, please check the following:

    1. Are you using an Elementor Template or Theme Builder?
    2. What hosting provider are you using? Some hosting services cache content at the server level, so you may need to exclude the protected page from their caching system.
