    Hello PPWP Support,

I have brand new installations of WP with PPWP Pro, Elementor and ACF Pro.
Unfortunately, there are several problems with this combination.

    This is the situation:
There are catalogues on the site with partially protected content.
The catalogue content is created via ACF and displayed in the frontend via an Elementor single template.

    Problem 1:
The protected content should be displayed via the Elementor single template.
I used the Elementor PPWP widget in the Elementor single post template for this, as specified in the description for PPWP Pro.
Unfortunately, the contents of the PPWP widget are not rendered, but are output as shortcode text.

In a test with an analogue single template for the standard post type, the login field is displayed correctly. Unfortunately, the login does not work there either. Message: Incorrect password, even though the password was entered correctly.
I need a solution for this, please.

    Problem 2:
I have set up a workaround for issue 1.
Unfortunately, it does not work in all browsers.
As a workaround, I added the Elementor PPWP widget individually for each catalogue via Elementor. It looks like this:
    https://www.tradecon.net/katalog/alltagsbegleiter/#katalogdetails

Unfortunately, despite the correct password, the protected content is only displayed in the current Firefox on Windows 11. In Chrome, Edge and Macbook Pro, there is no response and no error message after the first password entry. After entering the password several times, the message appears: The cookie check has failed.
What could be the reason for this?

Problem 3: Noticed when setting up the workaround.
The content to be protected is a section template.
When I select this section template in the PPWP widget via ‘Saved Template’, the password only works once. Every time I enter the password again, I get the error message ‘Incorrect password’, even though the password has not changed.

When I enter the shortcode of the section template into the content in the PPWP widget, the protected content is displayed after each correct password entry. (Except in the browsers mentioned under 2)

Please help me implement the correct solution.

    Hi @mbusik ,

Thank you for reaching out and providing detailed information about the issues you’re encountering with PPWP Pro, Elementor, and ACF Pro.

Problem 1: We might need a screenshot of your setup, debug log, and a test password to check the behavior on our end.

Problem 2: I accessed the sample protected page you provided, and I do see the password form. I also checked using Chrome and Edge, but the password form still appears. I’m considering whether this might be a caching issue.

Problem 3: Same as Problem 1, we might need a screenshot of your setup, debug log, and a test password to check the behavior on our end. If you have a staging site, it should be the best

As this forum only allows mainly support for the free version of PPWP, could you help to contact us directly via our PPWP Pro Contact Form so we can assist you more effectively and securely. We may need some test passwords of the protected page to troubleshoot the issues properly, and it’s best not to share such information publicly.

Our team will be happy to look into the problems you’re experiencing and help you implement the correct solution.

    Awaiting your reply.
