    Hello,

I’ve tried to create 2 courses and link them so that the first one has to be completed before the second one can be started.

I have created both and selected the prerequisite course. When I go to the second course, which shouldn’t be available until I’ve confirmed the first, nothing stops me from taking it.

I tried using the HealthCheck plugin and disabling the rest of the extensions, but it didn’t help. I am using the latest version of your plugin. I’m pretty sure it worked last week, but it doesn’t work now anymore without any changes. Could you please let me know what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you,

    Damian

OK, I think my understanding of this feature was wrong. It looks like the information that the previous course is required to start the second course only works if the course has open auto enrolment. Basically, I want to enrol my students on two courses at once and forget about it, but my goal is that they need to complete the first course before they can start the second. Do you have any suggestions on how to achieve this?

    Thank you very much.

The course prerequisites only applies to course enrolment. If the user is already auto-enrolled, the prerequisites do not apply.

If you combine the courses and use lesson prerequisites, this might work for your case to ensure that students complete prior lessons before proceeding to the next one.

    Hi Deric,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it doesn’t solve my problem. The first course is the same for everyone and that’s why I created one. The second part can be different depending on the employee’s profession. Everything from the first course is graded automatically, the second part of the course has to be graded by the teacher. If I decide to combine them, I will have to duplicate the course many times, which I would like to avoid, as I have had many problems with this before. So the idea was to make the first course the same for everyone and enrol students in the relevant editions of the second courses. Unfortunately, lesson prerequisites don’t work between different courses. Is there any other way to achieve this?

Unfortunately, due to how Sensei LMS course enrolment and prerequisite is designed, I can’t think of any workaround for your use case at the moment.
