preg_split() expects parameter 3 to be long

    Hi folks,

    Since latest updates, I got the following error when trying to send emails from the blog (in this specific case, with “Simple Subscribe” as well as with “Email Subscribers” plug-ins:

    [Mon Oct 05 17:52:37 2015] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] PHP Warning: preg_split() expects parameter 3 to be long, unknown given in /var/www/vhosts/domain.ltd/httpdocs/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 4486, referer: http://www.domain.ltd/wp-admin/admin.php?page=SimpleSubscribeEmail&action=email&email=email%40domain.ltd

    Any idea how to troubleshoot this ? If I get it write, it’s about the email address (parameter 3). What now ?
