Preload not caching

I’ve got the same issue as this guy (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/preload-thinks-its-caching-but-not/#post-9995517).

Preload thinks it’s caching but it doesn’t end up saving the files.

I’m running the latest version of WordPress, WP Supercache, Autoptimize, Divi and host at Dreamhost on a VPS (not shared hosting).
