• Hello there,

I have setup preloading, and it goes through 80 pages (which is correct I think). But I don’t have a feeling as if the pages are really “preloaded”. Because the initial load is still slow. It is only when I visit the pages manually, and then re-visit them again that the page cache seems to be doing its work.

Also a question. I use yoast seo which generates a sitemap url as followed: /sitemap_index.xml

I found in the comments that your plugin is looking for /sitemap.xml, is there any way we could make this work with the Yoast SEO sitemap url?

  • @arnedb Could you please try to purge the cache and the try to click the Preload button.

WP-Optimize detects the urls from sitemap.xml file so it also uses the sitemap_index.xml file by Yoast by default so we don’t have to adjust any settings.

    Alright,

That’s great to hear. Do you have any idea why it doesn’t “feel” as if the preloader is doing it’s work? It’s often that I still have to visit a page first manually before it’s actually super fast.

The preloader does show as “finished” in the back-end.

@arnedb Have you performed a conflict test yet?

Try deactivating all plugins except for WP-Optimize and see if it is resolved.

If so, reactivate each plugin one at a time until you find the culprit. You can check for the issue between activating each plugin, so you can see which one is causing problems.

Please let us know your findings.
