Preloading Cache Overloads Server
-
Hey !
Every time I for example translated a piece on my website I have to clean the entire cache (page cache only doesn’t do the job) where after I want to preload the ‘new’ cache. In 90% of the cases I do this, I experience a server timeout.
Q1: Are the pages still being preloaded?
Q2: I already have max_timeout on 300 and those other PHP variables should also comply with the needs of preloading the cache.
Could the issue still be here?(for example through PHP rules that are written in the .htaccess file)
Q3: I’m using Rocket to cache with: how could I configure the preloading so that it executes slower and then does not bring a server overload?
Q4: Is preloading the cache really worth it? My gut tells me it is…
Q5: Do you have the ultimate solution for this matter?
Thanks a lot in advance. We all want a fast website don’t we! 🙂
