The plugin works great and my site is much faster, thank you for your work.

However, I have a few questions about the preload option.

When I activate the option to preload pages, does the plugin decide on its own, at random, which pages it should preload or is the preload only due to the visitor who visits a page ?

If there are no visitors to the site, is the preload working?

I can’t answer it because there are people on my site all the time. So I can’t tell the difference between the automatic preload and the pages cached by users.

    Thank you for your reply

The preload is another system. It is not related with user visiting. I recommend you to set a cronjob for the preload feature as below.

    Another question πŸ™‚

How is decided which pages are preloaded first? The most recent pages? In alphabetical order ?

    Thanks !

yes, the most recent pages are cached by the preload feature.

you are welcome πŸ™‚ if you vote, you make me so happy.Β

    I just put 5 stars πŸ™‚

There is a lot of traffic on my site, so I can’t tell the difference between automatic page preloading and visitors caching pages while visiting the site.

1 / How can I be sure that the preloading is working correctly?

2 / Where are the automatically preloaded pages stored? In wp-content/cache/all?

3 / I have deactivated “cache systeme” function and activated “preload” function, but I do not see any files in the wp-content/cache/all. Is this normal?

    1. you can open the preload url via browser. I recommend you to set a cronjob as below.

    2. yes

    3. if the “cache system” is deactivated, wp fastest cache does not work. it must be enabled.

Ok great thank you for your clear and quick answer !

I calculated that in 55 minutes there were 11 preloads of 12 pages. This means that there was a preload every 5 minutes, exactly.

I do not understand why because in the adjustments I have correctly set a 12 pages preloads every 1 minute?

I think it is the best way to spread the process over time instead of doing it all at once. I recommend you to set the number as 4 and set the cronjob as every 1 or 2 minutes.

Ah ok I understand. If you say it’s the best way to go then I’ll do it!

Maybe think about updating the “fault” in the plugin. “…pages every 5 minutes” instead of “… pages per minute”

    Thanks again !

the WP Schedule of wp fastest cache works every 5 minutes. it is not related with cron job.
