Premium Plugin Questions
-
Hello,
Upon looking at newsletter open stats, I was prompted that I do not have the Premium plugin installed, and to install the premium plugin by downloading it in .zip form. Reading the readme.txt for directions on how to install it (no instructions provided!) I noted the following items which concern me. (my bolds):
`= Use at your own risk! =Use [the current stable MailPoet](https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wysija-newsletters/) instead of this version if you are not a power user.
* This alpha version is for testing purposes only!
* Not RTL compatible
* We expect bug reports from you!
* Multisite not supported
* No migration script from MailPoet 2.X to this version
* Weekly releases1. I’m confused — is the .zip I was prompted to download in your plugin settings really __alpha__?? Why would I want to alpha test your software, when the non-premium version is working for me and potentially wreck my site? I am not a “power user”. This really puzzles me, as I didn’t go looking for an alpha version of Premium. It’s prompted right in the plugin settings on my site.
2. I ASSUME the installation of this plugin via .zip is to manually upload the contents to my plugins folder, is that correct?
3. I’ve got the non-premium plugin configured and it works. If I install the premium, will I loose my configurations, and have to start all over? What happens to the lists, subscribers and emails that I have already setup and sent?
4. The url https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wysija-newsletters/ results in a blank page. What’s up with that?
Thanks for clarifying. I WOULD like to use the premium version, but I’m pretty shy of it considering these statements in the readme.txt file, plus the questions I have.
regards,
Greg
