• HI, I have installed the free version of Preorders. General settings are set correctly, a single product has been set for Pre-order, but nothing happens on the front end. Products remains ‘Out of Stock’. This only changes when I change the Product Inventory setting to ‘Accepting Backorders’. Now the availability date and buy/preorder button are displayed.

I would have thought that a pre-order setting is meant to override the backorder setting? I mean that a preorder would not need a backorder setting in order to function.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @gio153,

Please note that Pre-order isn’t a stock status. This plugin doesn’t have the ability to modify the stock status or allow backorders when a product is set as pre-order. In fact, if you want to sell an out of stock product as pre-order, you must enable backorders. Otherwise, the product cannot be purchased as out of stock, WooCommerce doesn’t allow that.
