Pretty Link does not get created

    We have a bit of a special workflow:

    1) Create WordPress Post and use the Post Pretty Link box for a standard pretty link
    2) Schedule the Post for later publication
    3) at the same time we already create a secondary pretty link for internal use
    4) when the post gets published by WordPress the Pretty Link we entered int he “Pretty Link Widget” while creating the post does not get created?

    Is this expected behavior? We love the ability to have multiple pretty links for posts.

    Is there a workaround? What can we do?

    When a post is published, it will look to see if any existing pretty links already have the target URL set to that URL of the post.

    If so, that pretty link is used instead of a new one being created.

    This is not currently configurable unfortunately.

    Ok, I understand.

    Sounds like a workaround is to just create all the pretty links manually in the plugin then.

    That’ll work 💪.
