    Hi,

    I use your plugin as a cache plugin only, not connected to Cloudflare.

    I updated the Super Page Cache Plugin and the Woocommerce Plugin today.

    After updated these both plugins the cache was deleted.

    So one or both plugins deleted my disk cache.

    How can I prevent the cache from being cleared after updating the super page cache plugin or other plugins?

    Thanks

    Dirk

    Hi,

    I have a WordPress Multisite directory installation.

    The Super Page Cache plugin is activated separately for each directory.

    I checked each directory if the “Automatically purge the cache when the upgrader process is complete” is set to No.

    Result:

    It purge the cache if I update your plugin.

    If I update other plugins, it not purge the cache.

    How can I prevent the cache from being purged after updating the Super Page Cache plugin?

    Thanks.

    Hi @athleticcity,

    I tried and on my end the cache is not purged when you update the super page cache plugin as well. Could you please try to check this yourself by clearing the logs and then updating the Super page cache plugin? You won’t see any logs for cache being purged.

    If it is purging the cache then you will have this – https://prnt.sc/d_HSw9tw9Lto

    Hi,

    FYI, my site is connected to cloudflare now. So up to now, not only disk cache.

    I updated the super page cache plugin again.

    My Log:

    [2025-04-16 04:37:23] [cloudflare::purge_cache] Cache purged successfully.
    [2025-04-16 04:37:23] [upgrader::update_cache_rule] Cache rule updated.

    As you can see at 04:37:23 the cache is purged again.

    I don’t know why, but it takes more than 30 minutes to purge all directories at my wordpress multisite installation.

    Here again the log from an other directory:

    [2025-04-16 04:51:04] [cloudflare::sync_cache_rule] Cache e68e8d4885f04cb29adbe5ec82e84b11 rule updated successfully.
    [2025-04-16 04:51:05] [cloudflare::purge_cache] Cache purged successfully.
    [2025-04-16 04:51:05] [upgrader::update_cache_rule] Cache rule updated.

    I double checked it on my disk via FTP. The wp-cloudflare-super-page-cache directory is emty now.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    1. I still cannot update this plugin without purging the cache.

    [2025-04-16 04:51:04] [cloudflare::sync_cache_rule] Cache e68e8d4885f04cb29adbe5ec82e84b11 rule updated successfully.
    [2025-04-16 04:51:05] [cloudflare::purge_cache] Cache purged successfully.
    [2025-04-16 04:51:05] [upgrader::update_cache_rule] Cache rule updated.

    ‘Automatically purge the cache when the upgrader process is complete’, is set to No.

    ‘Automatically purge single post cache when a new comment is inserted into the database or when a comment is approved or deleted’, is set to No.

    ‘Purge HTML pages only’ is set to No.

    ‘Disable cache purging using queue’ is set to No.

    If I update other plugins, it not purging cache. Only if I update this plugin.

    2. An other problem I see is, when I want change my css via design > customizer, it purges cache too.

    3. I have a Directory Multisite Installation.

    On some directories the ‘Coudflare Cache behavior’ options are missing.

    Under ‘Cache Livetime’ settings comes direct the ‘Preloader settings’.

    So the Coudflare Cache behavior options are missing.

    Hi @athleticcity,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    I have been unable to identify the root cause of this issue on my end. The cache does not seem to be purging correctly despite updating the Super Page Cache plugin. I have logged this issue and will continue investigating further, particularly if we hear about similar reports from other users.

    You can contact us again if you encounter the same issue on other websites. Please note that this problem will only occur when a new update is released for the Super Page Cache plugin, so it shouldn’t cause significant disruptions to your site.

    Thank you for reporting this, and I will keep you updated as we continue our investigation.

    Best regards,
