Prevent Duplicate Submissions

    I use a simple form to capture participants progress of a competition I am running. For this competition bikers ride to predetermined locations and take a picture. On the form they enter their Name, email address, race number, and from a drop down list choose which challenge they did, attach a picture and submit the form. I want to prevent a rider from submitting the same challenge twice. Thank you in advance for any help.

    I hope things are going well for you.

    Currently, Forminator doesn’t have native support to prevent duplicate submissions. We can limit submissions by date and number; however, preventing submissions from the same email or IP address is on the “To-do” list for the future. I don’t have an ETA, but it’s already planned for one of the upcoming releases.

    You could use Email service integrations in Forminator, like Mailchimp, which should help prevent duplicate entries from being added to the Mailchimp list. However, the form would still get submitted in the Forminator submission, but Mailchimp will prevent that.

    Additionally, the Hustle Plugin can help to prevent duplicate submissions by creating a Popup >> Email Opt-in, which collects emails using the Popup. For example, if I use the same email many times, it will store only the most recent submission.
